Talk about the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is heating up as the enforcement deadline looms closer, and at GoDataFest October 16-20 in Amsterdam, the topic was covered at length in an attempt to ensure businesses are prepared.
GoDataDriven, the Netherlands-based company behind GoDataFest, has been supporting open-source solutions since 2009 to help dozens of enterprises become data driven by setting up big data infrastructures, making data available, and developing predictive models.
At last week’s event, the GDPR breakfast seminar featured insights from Dataiku’s own Kenneth Sanford, adjunct professor at Boston College, and lawyer Juliette van Baalen. The two discussed the opportunities of GDPR and how organizations can make sure they’re ready.
