Dataiku Leads the Pack as 3x AI Partner of the Year in 2023

“If you do something once, people will call it an accident. If you do it twice, they call it a coincidence. But do it a third time, and you've just proven a natural law.” These are the wise words of American computer scientist and mathematician Grace Hopper.

If that’s true, I guess we’ve proven a new natural law this year: Regardless of your data infrastructure, Dataiku is how you succeed with AI.

In 2023, which by all accounts has been the year of AI, Dataiku received no less than three partner of the year awards from the biggest and most influential names in data and AI: Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS.

  1. Snowflake named Dataiku their partner of the year in June for the third consecutive year.
  2. Dataiku won the Databricks AI partner of the year award also in June.
  3. Dataiku AWS awarded the global ISV AI and machine learning partner of the year award.

As all organizations are intent on progressing on their data and AI journey, this recognition again demonstrates the pivotal role Dataiku plays in allowing business to generate actual business value from their data. It is fantastic to be part of these transformations, and to see the trust put into Dataiku not only by thousands of people and customers worldwide, but by our extensive partner ecosystem.

Why Dataiku?

Dataiku is the platform for Everyday AI, enabling data experts and domain experts to work together to build data into their daily operations, from advanced analytics to Generative AI.

No matter where your data is stored or what your existing infrastructure, Dataiku provides a governed and scalable framework for working with data and building AI projects that deliver value. This holds true for both standard analytics and machine learning in the enterprise as well as Generative AI with the LLM Mesh.

What kind of value are our customers driving with data and AI? Glad you asked — here are some of my most recent favorites:

  • LG Chem used Dataiku to build a Generative AI-powered service that enhances productivity. The solution helps employees search for safety regulations and guidelines, using a large language model (LLM) to surface the information quickly and accurately.
  • Moderna is using Dataiku to develop an on-demand AI model called "Nitro" to analyze collected medical insights and sentiments from diverse and unrelated data sources. By leveraging Nitro, Moderna is able to extract valuable insights from various data sources, enabling the generation of targeted and actionable medical insights. This technology is instrumental in supporting Moderna's U.S. and global Medical Affairs efforts to advance science.
  • The Aviva Audit Team used the Dataiku process mining solution to cut the time spent on data analytics audit work by 50%, while also increasing the quality of the output.
  • SLB has gone from 8 hours to 20 minutes to size well construction tenders. The solution, developed in Dataiku, has so far been used to assess more than $10 billion worth of well construction tenders — in their words, “Billion-dollar decisions are now data-driven while keeping our well engineering experts in control of the outcome.”
  • FINRA uses Dataiku to conduct more analyses per year, faster, and with better quality, meaning less money spent on other technology/tools and compute resources (despite users analyzing more than 18 TB of data in Dataiku). What’s Next for AI & Dataiku in 2024?

There’s no doubt that the release of ChatGPT just over a year ago changed the way we think about AI not just in our everyday lives, but in how it will impact the way we work.

To that end, we’ve been hard at work making leveraging data as seamless as asking natural-language questions (for example, with AI-enhanced data preparation and code assistant). Plus, we keep adding additional Generative AI functionality, helping teams move beyond the lab and build real, safe Generative AI applications at enterprise scale.

The LLM Mesh is a perfect example of how we’re bringing — and will continue in 2024 to bring — the ecosystem together so that enterprises can use best-of-breed technology, evolving with the fast-moving landscape while also reducing risk and maintaining necessary control. We will work closely with our LLM Mesh partners (AI21 Labs, Pinecone, Snowflake, and now Databricks) in the new year to expand functionality while also bringing new partners into the fold, carrying on our tradition of openness and orchestration of all the underlying technologies that drive AI innovation.

In addition, the continued importance of MLOps combined with the importance of governance for LLMs and other Generative AI applications means XOps is on the rise. As the field expands, we’ll be here (along with our strong ecosystem of partners)  to help our customers get closer to making AI not only pervasive, but a reliable and governed part of the enterprise — no matter what developments in AI and technology providers arise in 2024 and beyond
